I bet the visibility out of that car is spectacular

Cocaine is a helluva drug...
I once had a 93, in electric currant red, and I have seen them in sort of a boysenberry purple, and a deep blue, but I have never seen one that color before.

I’m guessing you’re right.

Almost a ‘50s color

I prefer the MX-6 but I’d take a Probe in this condition any day.

The 2nd gen Probe was certainly available in a lot of wild colors; I think its better for it!
I believe this color was Tangerine Pearl .
Royal Plum Purple (I think) was interesting, too.

The MX-6 always looked a bit too normal compared to the Probe for my taste. I’m sure both are great cars, but the over-the-top ‘90s-ness of the 2nd gen Probe is what really sells it for me.

My mom had a 92 NA MX 6 and it was a great car. We also drove a probe with the turbo 4 but it just felt weird. She got a lot of good miles out of that Mazda.

I had a ‘96 Probe GT but it was the required 90s teal. Enjoyed the hell out of that car.

Wow, I might actually be willing to pull into a parking space nose-first if I had a view like that for backing out.

It’s not every day you see a flesh colored Probe.

I have appreciated the 2nd-gen Probe more and more over two decades in the design business.
Mostly because they hit
a
mark perfectly, but missed
the
mark. It’s about as Detroit in the 90s as a car can get.

I worked at Ford towards the end of the Ford Probes life in the U.K.
It wasn’t a big seller at all.
Up against the VW Corrado and the Vauxhall Calibra.
The Ford Probe and Cougar were often characterised as being, ‘too American’ in appearance.
But then Ford took a regular Fiesta
and added a little more architecture to the rear, made it a coupe and called it the Puma
Which did pretty well.
